    What if we generate 5V and 3.3V through LT1117 from +12V as shown in DC2226A. We have to initially drop down the voltage through some high wattage resistor and then we can generate the same.

    No pin compatible replacement for ADP3333.

    For ADP3338, I found the fixed version of LT1117 as same pinouts but is only up to 800mA & has higher dropout voltage.

    Did you mean LT1117??  It's a quasi-LDO.  Needs at least 0.7-0.8 across it.  Did you measure your 3.3V?

    Depending on total current required, you could look at ADP160.
