• HMC994 EVB thru loss and heat sink

    Hi folks,

    How could I get the thru loss about EVB of  HMC994 ?

    May you help to provide the relevant file to us for evaluate ?

    And I check the figure of  EVB board from website, here is a heat sink with screw, could you also provide related information…

    Please check if all the components in your design are functional and have not sustained damage.
    The HMC994 is a wideband amplifier. Trace losses on the PCB can add up at higher frequencies. Please make sure you are deembedding the trace losses…

    If you investigate in excel file, the IC is HMC994 not HMC907. Also, the layout is compatible for HMC994. HMC907 has not either a VGG pin or a VDD pin.

    I would suggest the HMC998 as the closest possible replacement. The HMC994 is also similar but not as close as the HMC998 in my opinion.

    HMC980 can be used to bias HMC994. HMC980 will generate the negative Vgate voltage and adjust Vgate continuously for constand Idd operation, and provide bias sequeuncing with additional features like short circuit protection.
