• HMC550A Do we need DC block capacitor for RF input/output pins?

According to "Pin Descriptions" in the datasheet of HMC550A/550AE, we have to insert blocking capacitors to pin of RF1 & RF2. Can't we use this SPST SW for DC signal?

    Hi Chunhee,

I would suggest you to take a look at HMC550A SPST failsafe switch. It supports the functionality you describe; it is normally ON when no DC supply applied and  it is turned OFF when DC supply applied. You can use it if its operating conditions…

    Hi Chunhee,

I did not see your application diagram when I was suggesting the HMC550A SPST failsafe switch in my reply to your separate EZ question on RF switch most probably for the same application. (https://ez.analog.com/thread/67841)

    Although HMC550A…

  • RE: How to use ADL5910 peak/envelope eval board to get peak voltages with peak period 1.67 seconds

    Hello boydy33,

    • Is there a RF carrier frequency for your “…spike/pulse of every 1.67 second in signal...” ? You need an input RF signal from the tenth of kHz to 6GHz.  The ADL5910’s TCAL (or VCAL ) pin has a typical output voltage at…
