• HMC374 S-parameter showed not stable with ADS simulation

    Dear,

    One of my customer downloaded the S parameter of HMC374, and tested it with ADS network analyzer.

    BUt the result showed that the K factor is less than 1, is the S-parameter wrong or did we made something wrong with the simulation?

    I noticed that the IP2 parameter is usually entered as 20dB above P1dB.  Is there any way to get more accurate IP2 data?

    I am specifically wanting to know which part has better IP2 performance, HMC636 or HMC374.  Both have P1dB = 22dBm.

    You need a PLL which drives a frequency doubler which drives an amplifier. Possible choices might be ADF4371 (PLL),  HMC1105 (frequency doubler) and HMC7229 (amplifier). These are not the only choices.
