• HMC1122 SPI

    Hello,

    the HMC1122 needs only 6 bit for programming, but the standart SPI transmitts 8 bit. Can I clock two "don't care bits" first or does it work only if there are actually 6 bits clocked in?

    this is the block diagram of HMC1122, when I was testing this IC using multimeter 

    I found that:

    1. pin 5 and pin 6 are connected with package base GND.

    2. pin 7,8 to pin 12 are connected together with pin 6 and pin 13 in DC.

  • HMC1122 SEROUT PIN

    Hello,

    I have a technical question about this product. 

    We are going to connect this device to SPI bus. 

    Is is okay to connect  directly SEROUT to SPI bus (MISO). Do we need a tri-state buffer ?

  • Should I pull down HMC1122 digital port or let them float when it is in parallel mode?

    In datasheet, it says we should pull down or D0-D5 when it is in serial mode. But what about digital port in parallel mode? Should we let them float or pull them low. Thanks.
