• ADuM5000 Vsel floating, 3v3 output instead of 5v

    The datasheet suggests that Vsel has a weak pull-up, which should result in the selection of 5v output. This does not appear to be the case, the output is 3v3 and measurement of the pin give 0v with a multimeter and a flat 0v with x10 scope probe.

    I will operate the device in Master mode with 5Vin and 5Vout (first line in Table 13) and with RCsel=H and RCin=X (don't care??).

  • Can the ADuM5000 produce 5V from a 3.3V input

    I have an ADuM5000 that I want to run the input at 3.3V and get 5V at the output.  The data sheet says this is not recommended, but I tried it on the bench and it made 5V, can I use it this way.

    The CN0349 hardware is no longer available for purchase.

    However, the power dissipation can be calculated by adding up the contributions of the various components as taken from their respective data sheets:

    AD5934 @ 3.3V: 15mA

    AD8606 @ 3.3V: 2.8mA
