I’m planning to use both ADM2484 and ADM2487 on my RS485 expansion module (and eventually to the baseboard). I need an easy way to generate the second isolated supply for the second transceiver. Do you, or Analog Devices, have a recommendation for this…
I have a question about the D1/D2 of ADM2487E.
I am using ADM2487E with the same circuit as Figure34 in the datasheet.
In my circuit, When VDD1 reaches about 1.4V, D1/D2 and GND are short-circuited.
And, the overcurrent flows to the transformer…
Dear Sir/Madam, We will use ADM2487E Isolated RS-485 Transceivers.
If not use osc-circuit,please teach us how to take care of D1/D2 unused pins.
Leave its floating? or... It would be greatly appreciated if advice could be gotten. Best Regards,Kou
We don't have hot swap characterized for these devices.
Table 11 and 12 in the ADM2482E/ADM2487E data sheet provide a truth table for outputs based on input steady states.
Yes, we do have RS-485 transceivers with integrated power isolation as well as signal isolation. The following parts all have isolated power using isoPower chip-scale micro-transformer technology:
