EVAL-AD5668SDCZ connected to SDP-CB1Z problem

Category: Hardware
Product Number: SDP-CB1Z and EVAL-AD5668SDCZ
Software Version: AD5668 evaluation software V2.0

I'm using EVAL-AD5668SDCZ connected to SDP-CB1Z controller board. However, I attempt to program this evaluation board, the software shows these two error message.

1. Error 1172 occurred at Error calling method sdpApi1.Gpio.dataWrite, (System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Inner Exception: sdpApi1.SdpDriverInterfaceException: SDPERROR 2: invalid device number)

2. Error 1172 occurred at Error calling method sdpApi1.Sport.writeU32, (System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Inner Exception: sdpApi1.SdpDriverInterfaceException: SDPERROR 2: invalid device number)

  • Hi HungYu,

I would recommend uninstalling the components (software, drivers, etc) installed for this evaluation solution and retrying the installation.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, it may be helpful if there is a colleague's PC that doesn't have any LabVIEW or Analog Devices software installed. If it works correctly on that machine then there is probably some driver clash on your PC.

If the software continues to produce this error for you, I would recommend opening a question on the Precision DACs forum - (+) Precision DACs - EngineerZone (analog.com). It looks like the error is specific to the LabView backend for this product and my colleagues in the Precision DAC forum would be more familiar with evaluation solutions built on LabVIEW.
