An SDP system was found, but the daughterboard was not detected

Category: Hardware
Product Number: EVAL-SDP-CB1Z, EVAL-ADAS1000SDZ
Software Version: Version 3.2 March 2021

I am sure I have connected the two boards, SDP-CB1Z and ADAS1000, and powered on the ADAS1000. And both these two boards are new and unedited.

But the evaluation software show that it only detected SDP system but not daughterboard.

  • Hi Rickon,

Apologies for the delay. The EVAL-SDP-CB1Z (aka SDP-B) detects daughterboards by scanning the I2C bus. As these boards are both new, I would think it unlikely that there is a hardware issue or EEPROM content issue. Double check that the connector between the SDP-B and the daughterboard is well seated and use the plastic nuts&bolts to make sure there is no wobble or bad angle in the connection.

That software looks like it is based on LabView- can I ask what version of Windows you are running and if you have full admin access to the PC? I think some clash of the LabView version and Windows, or a permissions issue may be the problem here. Is this still a blocker for you or have you resolved it?
