Can't get Rx1A_In to output in TES

Often there's confusion between Rx1A and Rx1B ports. Please ensure that your intended Rx RF input port is the one connected to your signal generator. Also make sure that your signal's RF center frequency falls within the band of your receiver (carrier frequency +/- RF bandwidth). If you start a default TES v26 session, just choose FDD as duplex mode, add wired loopback with proper attenuation between Tx1 and Rx2, you should receive a single tone generated in transmit tab.

i was able to get Rx working using a feedback loop to Tx. i was able to see Rx plot on TES GUI. when using s signal generator i was unable to see a signal on the recieve page.

What kind of signal are you trying to send? I'm assuming it's a single tone you're feeding into Rx1A, what's your signal generator's tone frequency and power? Based on the profile you provided you should see a signal within a range of 900MHz +/- 6kHz.

I have set my sig gen to 7000.002 MHz with an amplitude of -10 dBm as per the example here:  3) Transmit/Receive Example .

The frequency you are setting in signal generator is 7.000002 GHz (7000.002 MHz) it has to be 700.002 MHz.

That hasn't seemed to have worked. Is there anything I need to do prior to putting in a receive signal? Transmitted works as expected.

Hi Oliver,

As you mentioned in the previous statement that the loopback from TX to Rx is working fine. This tells us that the Rx is programmed and working fine. After inspecting your taxidi file I can see that the carrier frequency that is provided is 900 MHz and the data port sample rate is 48kSPS. 

Since your transmitter is transmitting the signal at 900MHz, that's the reason why the Tx-RX loop is working. 

Please set the same carrier frequency around 900MHz +/- 24kHz in the signal generator. The range of signal that the Rx is going to capture is determined by the dataport sample rate i.e., 48kSPS/2 (+/-24kHz).
