Configuration for External LNA

Are you adding the external LNA gain in gain table?

Is it good to add these gain value in Gain table or adjust the peak detect time for AGC to compensate for the settling time of Front end Analog amplifiers?

If it is good to add gain values in gain table, how will I add these values in "Split table" mode?

Adding LNA gain in gain table won't impact AGC operation, it will just affect the RSSI measurement. Am I right?

The default peak overload wait time is fine for all applications until you are using an external LNA with bypass(low gain)mode.

Yes if you add the LNA gain in the gain table then it will impact your AGC as in that case the total gain will change. There are two bits for external LNA gain control 0x026[bitsD6:D5] for RX1 and RX2.

Since there is only one bit per RX you can vary the LNA gain between two levels (.i.e. the external LNA gain index can be either 0 or 1 and accordingly the gain can vary between two levels).

I  designed customized RF tranceiver board with AD9364. I have a customize RF board with an external LNA   and output connected to the RF transceiver board.,  I  worked in fast AGC mode with out external LNA , its working fine . when i tried to give  GPIO_O output to my external LNA to control attenuation of external LNA .The AGC loop is working fine in power on condition , when i tried to change the input of system, the AGC is going to failed .  

 I changed  the default gain table as per UG -570  and enabled the bit of D6  in the register of 0x026. please can any one suggest me how to fix my problem ? 

Hi Srimoyi..i want to use external LNA in bypass mode, with AGC in fast attack mode in AD9361. So, do i need only increase peak overload wait time or anything else also must be updated..? if anything else must be updated..can u please specify what to?

Is external LNA present in your design? if not, no need to update the gain table and the default gain table can be used, so you don't need to update the threshold values.
