I'm working with a wideband complex signal (70–400 MHz) sampled at 60 MHz.
I'm observing unexpected frequency components that seem to shift or mirror like this:
- A signal at 370 Hz appears to also show up at 150 Hz and 120 Hz
- A signal at 250 Hz appears to also show up at 110 Hz and 70 Hz
These lower frequencies are not harmonics and seem to be interference or aliasing artifacts.
I'm not segmenting the signal and need to preserve the full wideband content.
Questions:
- Could these mirrored frequencies be due to aliasing or intermodulation?
- Is adaptive filtering (e.g., LMS) suitable for suppressing such artifacts in a wideband signal?
- Are there better techniques for identifying and removing these components without affecting the rest of the spectrum?
