FMComms5 LO Divider state

Category: Hardware
Product Number: AD9361

Hi,

I am using FMComms5 + ZC702 with on-board ADF5355 (as external LO) and Linux drivers. After each power up and even after small RX-LO-frequency changes, I witness a random phase offset of 180 degrees of random channels as predicted here: https://wiki.analog.com/resources/eval/user-guides/ad-fmcomms5-ebz/phase-sync and many times in this forum. This is a hardware issue due to the state of the LO divider. I need to frequently change the RX-LO, so this is a huge problem. Is there any chance to read the state of the LO divider, so I can correct this phase shift accordingly in BB? It is very difficult to determine it otherwise, e.g. especially in multipath situations.

Thank you very much

  • Hi, thanks for your answer. Can you explain please how the state of this register corresponds to the random phase shift 0/180 degrees? There is no hint in the AD9361 Reference Manual. I don't care about the divider settings, I want to find out about the phase shift, can this be read out from some registers?
