DPD status

Hi, ADI expert.

I am testing ADRV9025 DPD . 

the ACLR are reduced by 10-12 dB after the application of DPD.

but the status shows below:

My question is :
The powers seemd to be right , but the Indirect EVM happened to 15%. Why did this happen . How can I resolve this problem

  • Update Count always 0 . Did DPD run correctly?

  • From the DPD statistics, there seems to be stability error (13341-->0x341D) due to which the update count never increments. Are you testing at the target output power of the PA? Can you test at 3dB/ 6dB back-off from the target power and check if the update count increments.

  • Taking your advice . Now I reduced the digitial signal to -5.008dBFS. but the Direct EVM: 13.9703% .

    And the error code still shows (13341-->0x341D)

  • When I disable and reset DPD for a serval times. The DPD status shows:

    (The tx and orx settings kept the same. only reset DPD )

    How could this happen.

  • I was asking you to reduce the PA output power. The Peak Tx power is going beyond 0dBFS. Peak TX Power: 0.156 dBFS which means the gain expansion is more and PA must be compressing a lot.

    This is my result: No matter how I adjust the tx-gain or orx-gain to keep the power at an appropriate level, the EVM result is just not right.

    I have also read many posts about DPD stability, but none of them seem to solve my problem.

  • What is the Tx min average threshold and ORX min average threshold? It looks like the DPD is in unity gain mode.
