Receive only using ORx instead of RX

ORX path does not have gain control and is generally used for Tx calibrations such as DPD, LOL etc. It is not suggested to use ORX path as a typical receiver.

I’m aware of the limitations with the ORX path, but theoretically, we should be able to achieve 900 MHz coverage using just 2 LOs and 2 ORX paths, right? We’d like to test this out. Could you guide us on how to configure the ADRV9029 to use only the 2 ORX paths for receiving simultaneously? The TX paths and TX calibrations could be turned off if needed.

This is something that we have not tested for. I believe you can configure both LO1 and LO2 with 450MHz spacing and check for the BW coverage. How are you planning to combine this 900MHz of BW, at the baseband/ FPGA?

Yes we will combine the data at the FPGA.

So could anyone in ADI try this out to see if it is possible or not? Thank you in advance.
