I started SDR project with ADRV9002. I am using frequency hopping for sweep procedure.

    There are different modes for HOP table index: Pinp Pong, Loop and GPIO. In Ping Pong and Loop mode, it always starts from the first row of Table A. You can find more details in TES by going to the view and frequency hopping option a

  • 1) This function didn't seem to work in frequency hopping mode in my case. Is it really supposed to be used in frequency hopping mode?

    2) I would also be interested in a correct Frequency hopping reset procedure. Right now it seems that we have to do the following steps:

    1. Tables A and B must exist
    2. If in table A, switch to B and perform hops (1 or 2 hops without TX/RX_SETUP depending on FH type)
    3. If in table B, switch to A (no hops required)
    • Can you confirm or disprove that this is the correct FH reset procedure (given we want to start from Table A Row 1)?
    • What if only table A is used (and B is not created)?
    • Can you provide any diagram describing the FH behaviour on ADRV?

    Apologies for the above comment regarding the API, currently we don't have any API for checking what frequency currently we are at in FH mode. This should be done from the customer side by tracking the index with in the FH table. But what I can confirm is that FH start always the first entry from Table A. I have tested in in TES 

    As you can see from the below figure two tables are loaded A (1900 MHz,1901 MHz) and B (1902 MHz,1903 MHz)

    Here the table index control mode is Ping Pong mode, this means first table A entries are read first and then Table B

    You can also crosscheck in the execution sequence 

    Coming to the 2nd question, I am conducting some experiments and will get back to you.
