ADRV9002 + ZCU102 TES Connection Problem

Category: Software
Product Number: ADRV9002

Hi,

We had a working setup of ZCU102 + ADRV9002 without an issue for about 3 weeks.

Today when we tried to connect with the TES to the board we got the attached error.

I tried re imaging the SD card, and it did not help, and I verified that the requested file appears.

The unit response to ping 192.168.1.10, and we can open a putty terminal.

What can be the issue with the TES?

Thanks

  • Hi,

This type of issue happens when the FMC connectors of EVAL board and FPGA is disturbed which can lead to corruption of the SD card image. Could you please follow the below steps

    1) Install the latest version of TES SDK (https://www.analog.com/en/products/adrv9002.html#software-resources), from your screen grab the version you are using is 0.26.

    2) Can you try to reimage the SD card following the guidelines described in the following link (a) Writing SD Card Image Manually (SDK23.1 and Higher))

    3) Once the imaging is successful and the FPGA boot-up is proper then open a new version of TES (0.27) and go to Expand Partition under the File tab as shown below

    4) Once the expand partition is successful which can be verified  by reading the log file as shown below

    5) Once the process is successful, click the "force update platform" to connect to the hardware. This option is also available under the file tab.

Please let me know the update.

    Regards

    Rahul

  • Hi

    I am Yoni's colleague.
    I did what you recommend.
    It fails at expand partition.

    A. It seems that the image is not compliant to the TES script. If you look at the script sdcard_partition_resize_remote it looks for a directory 192.168.1.10:/home/analog/test. I logged in into the processor - it's /home/analog/test is a script. Not a directory.

I copied the sdcard_partition_resize_remote.sh  to the remote. Performed bash ./sdcard_partition_resize_remote.sh %1

    I have got the following:

    Not sure if it's OK.
After reboot I tried to force update platform

    I received the following:

I logged in into the remote and did ./Adrv9001Server_C0_68.14.10

    I got HwOpen failed.

  • Hi,

Could you please follow the debug instructions in the link below? Also, try deleting the server using the command provided and then attempt to force update platform. Sometimes, the server folder can become corrupted, which may cause issues when connecting to the ADRV EVAL board using TES.
