AGC Dynamic Range

Question

Hi we are using AD9361 for our long range communication and it has Rx gain of 65 to 72dB for AGC function. Now i want to use ADRV9002 which has Rx gain of 27dB. My requirement is 70dB gain to maintain 0dBm for demodulation. How to do it? Or I mean what extra ckt will be required?

 You can read about AGC more generally in the ADRV9001 System Development User Guide (specifically, the chapter titled Receiver Gain Control), while latest information about multiple external LNA control is found in the afore mentioned article, Implement an External LNA in TES .

Hi Anki, 
 You will need external circuitry to achieve this gain. However, this external gain can be controlled using AGC. You can learn how to configure it here: Implement an External LNA in TES .
