ADRV9002 Loopback Rx to Tx

Yes, it is correct. That is the check box to enable internal loopback for you need. The use case of "FDD type repeater application using internal loopback" in the page 24 of the user guide provides repeater/frequency translation function without baseband processor. 

Thanks yhkim, however, I was not able to get this working. I could get Rx to work, and an independent Tx output, but could not get the received Rx signal out to Tx. Could you verify this and post your configuration?

The attached file has the setup file for TES and an explanation of the setup for the loopback. It uses the loopback method above. I tested this in the lab. Loopback.zip

There is also a document in other forum about FDD repeater, which basically saying that all you need to do is check the box you mentioned.

Hi, on a related question, Is it possible to introduce a continuous delay in the Loopback path from Rx to Tx, say as much as 20milliseconds?

There are programmable 128 taps FIR filter on both of TX and RX path and I suppose you can use it to introduce programmable delay, but 20 msec is not achievable even at the lowest sample rate supported by ADRV9002. I suppose you need to implement the loopback at your base band processor for that purpose.
