Question: I want to create a PCB. How do I obtain a footprint for ADI components.
Answer: You can obtain footprints for ADI components by going to the product page of the desired component, choosing the symbols and footprint link located under the functional block diagram. Next download the program ultra librarian reader and the bxl file. After installing the ultra librarian reader, open the bxl file. The Ultra Librarian reader will allow you to export the footprint in one of 16 different CAD software formats. THe Ultra Librian Reader needs to be installed once on your comput. Additional component foot prints can be created by downloading the bxl file of the desired component and exporting the desired format using the Ultra Librarian Reader.
The foot print bxl file is located on the product page. So you would need to know a device that uses a specific package model to obtain the foot print. You can send a request to: package.wizard@analog.com for assistance.
If I need a footprint for a specific package, say 20pin LFCSP with the 2.6sp mm pad for CP-20-8.

Can I find it in the library or do I need to know of another device part number that already uses the same package?
Can I search through the library for a specific package?
Thanks,
LucaV
If you send an email to Package.Wizard@analog.com with the part number of the device, they can provide you with a PDF of the foot print.
Hi,
Could you tell me where I can get a PDF of the footprint ? I used to be able to find these on the website.
Many thanks
