Question: How do RF detectors behave when over-driven
Answer: The response varies by device. On most devices, the output voltage flattens out and remains constant. On some devices, the voltage will change direction when the input is heavily over-driven. the attached plots show how various RF Detectors behave when over-driven. Note that in some of these plots, the input power level exceeds the specified Absolute Max Rating. For these measurements, the Absolute Maximum Rating was exceeded purely for illustrative purposes; this is not intended to imply that this constitutes safe operation.
