What are the maximum permissible RF input power level into  the ADL5960?  What are the key differences between the ADL5960 and ADL5961?

The maximum continuous input power to the ADL5960 is 30 dBm or 1W. Most of this power passes through the bridge and exits the part at RFOUT. Based on the frequency of the input signal, there weill be an insertion loss of up to 1.9 dB. If the input power is 30 dBm, this results in 355 mW of power dissipation in the bridge circuitry. The input P1dB of the ADL5960 is specified as 29 dBm, which also limits the signal level you can apply. The max peak power specification of 35 dBm at 10% duty cycle is not practical for continuous operation, as the input saturation point is around 31-32 dBm. The ADL5961 has improved bridge circuitry, offering better directivity and a wider frequency range, which justifies the higher cost.
