Regarding ADF4106

Hi all

I am working with ADF4106 to realize a 2.28GHz Local Oscillator.I have its evaluation borad as well which has its evaluation software..

I am providing a 10MHz reference and using a 2.28GHz VCO in the system.How to use the software to enable the system to work continuously..either Sweep or Lock time ..wht to use...also wass the min pfd freq i can provide to this ic...

Looking fwd to get some action..

    Hi,

    In eval board software you should be able to see the Sweep and the Lock Time buttons (at the bottom of the main software window). They will let you enable frequency sweep or frequency hopping.

    The lowest reference possible is 20MHz. You could make it even lower prowided that slew rate is > 50V/us. Fpfd = Reference/R and it can be actually as low as you want. However, the lower the Fpfd the longer the lock time.
