I tried to install the ADF4360_V301 and also ADF4360_v2_0 on windows 7 32-Bit.
both of them failed to run:
V2_0 showed Run-time error '53': File not found: parllio
I guess the printer port for the serial connection can not be initialized.
V301 could be installed, but after the installation the file ADF4360rev3_0.exe could not be found.
do you have any suggestion how to run the software on Windows 7? (I have the ADF4360-7 Evaluationboard with parallel interface)
Any advise is very welcome!
Quickest way is to run the software (either one) on an XP emulator. You may need to download it from Microsoft.
We have updated these boards recently to have full USB functionality with new operating systems. The parallel port boards were/are being phased out.
One of the problems with parllio is that it requires administrative access on the machine you are installing on. So you will need this, a parallel port and the emulator. If you are stuckfor time a new board may be better!
XP emulator download.
Thanks for the support, i managed to install and run the ADF4xxx software on the emulator.
Programming of the ADF4360-7 still does not work, eventhough no error occures (and as administrator). With an oscilloscope no clock and datasignals can be measured at the parallel port.
Do you have any advice?
in: http://analog.sgaur.hosted.jivesoftware.com/message/22815 i read something about and USB to Parallel adaptor boards, is it possible to get one of those?
Can you send me a private message with your name, address and telephone and I will ship you a USB adapter board.
The USB adapter board will connect to a USB port on your computer and provide a 'virtual parallel port' to control your evaluation board.
Thanks a lot, I received the adapter board.
Unfortunately i could not find any software driver for it, and as it says "install software before connecting hardware to USB port" I wanted to ask if you have anywhere the USB driver for the Adapter board?
