I have a customer interested in using the ADL5501 from 30-520MHz. The part is only specified in the datasheet to operate down to 50MHz. Can you describe any performance degradation that will be encountered when operating down to 30MHz?
The device is internally ac-coupled. So your signal will be slightly attenuated by the roll-off of the internal high-pass filter that is formed by the ac-coupling cap and the input resistance of the device. So it will operate at 30 MHz but you will see a transfer function that is a bit lower than what you would get if you drove it with a 50 MHz signal.
One alternative to consider is ADL5511 which can be configured to operate down to arbitrarily low frequencies.
