ADF4360-5 pulsed input

Question

I need to know if the ADF4360-5 will be able to operate with a pulsed signal of 8 us. I would like to use it in a radar transponder. I'm working with 1.28 GHz and will prescale down to 160 MHz. Running the ADIsimPLLL software shows that I can get a lock in 8.5 us which is in the vicinity of where I need to be. I'm assuming the simulations are based on a continuous wave input, so has anyone used the synthesizer with a pulsed input? Thanks

 When the REFIN frequency is low ( in this case a REFIN frequency of 6.25kHz ), assuming you meet the slew rate and sensitivity requirements of REFIN ( see datasheet specifications ), the ADF4360-5 can accept a low 5% duty cycle .
