I'm using the evaluation board UG-100 which contains ADF4360-5. I can only generate an output after the board is connected to the ADF4360 software. If I'm using the 9 V source, no output. If I'm connected to my laptop through the USB, no output. As soon as I open the software, the output is generated. Once the chip is initialized, I can switch to the on board 9V source and the output will continue to operate correctly. Is this normal? Will I always have to use the software to initialize the chip or is there another way to get around this? Thanks
