I have a Hittite amplifier: HMC-C075. The maximum rated input power is 12 dBm according to the datasheet. Is there a maximum peak input voltage rating? E.g., I would like to amplify a pulsed signal that has transients that exceed an instantaneous power of 12 dBm (the average power will be below 12 dBm). I expect the large transients will be clipped and this is fine, however, I don't want to damage the amplifier.
