I have a customer who wants to use the HMC753 Amplifier with a fixed resistor bias (instead of a HMC981 bias controller). We have several questions:
1) Are the graphs for the temperature dependent performance parameters, Input/output Return loss, Noise Figure, Output IP3, P1dB, PSAT and Reverse Isolation, worse case over temperature, supply and device variation?
2) Are the performance graphs mentioned in question 1, using a fixed bias point or with active bias compensation (HMC981)?
3) What performance parameters would be most effected by a fixed resistor bias versus active bias and how much?
4) Which solution would give you the best over all performance over temperature, supply and device variation? HMC981+HMC753 or HMC462/463?
A prompt reply would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
