How to manage unused output pins in HMC1060

Hello,

My customer are reviewing your reference schematic of HMC1197 with HMC1060.

In this schematic, they have some questions about the connection of VR2 (VR3) and RD2(RD3) in U2.

(VR2 <-> Cap. 0.1uF <-> RD2,  VR3 <-> Cap.0.1 uF <-> RD3)

Generally they think that they will connect unused output pin to GND or leave to NC.

But in this schematic, unused output pins are conected to RD pins (Feedback).

Would you let me know why  unused output pins are conected to RD pins (Feedback)?

Are there any specific benefits in these connections?

Please advise me.

Regards,

Se-woong
