HMC778LP6CE Evaluation Kit -  "Lost Communication"

Hi,

I am trying to work with the evaluation kit of the HMC778LP6CE  and it's software but I wasn't able to establish the connection between the module and the PC.

After I plug in the USB cable I start the program, chose the part , supply the +5 , +15 voltages and loaded the reg file and still I see the message "Lost Communication",

I've tried to supply the voltages before I start the program too but the result is the same.

I've attached the screenshots of the program on my computer .

Thank you ,

Joni.

If you only get 2.18V on the 3.2V digital rail that would explain why the HMC778 does not respond to SPI accesses.  Can you check the other HMC860 rails?  It may be the HMC860 LDO causing the problem or possibly the 5.5V current limit is set to low.  Try removing the USB to PLL eval board connection and re-measure the 3.2V rail.  This isolates any USB loading on the 3.2V (we include isolators on the USB board to reduce noise generated by the PC).
