HMC336 control logic

HI,

HMC336 has no integrated control logic driver. Please help to share the best suited device for generating differential signal generation to control lines of HMC336 for enabling the switching logic. I am trying to implement this using below logic whether it is advisable or not. from below i am going to use -Vs as 0 and +Vs as 5V. Kindly advise.

    I was thinking for proposing ADA4927-1/ADA4927-2 with the following configuration.

    Please help to know whether this configuration can be used toggling the switch control or not.

    Hi Sai,

    We generally use the 74HCT04 hex inverter for realizing these types of interface circuits requiring logic inverters.

    I don't think this is a typical application area for ADA4927.

    I have the same question need you suggestion.

    The data sheet only shown the logic voltage is 5V does it the absolutely min. input voltage or it has a input voltage range? For example for +3.3~5V could be acceptable  ? Tks!

    Hi,

    The HMC336 employs FET devices with a typical threshold voltage of -2.2 V. It has been test at 5V only where it provides provide optimum performance. It could be operated at 3.3V but its large signal performance (P1dB and IP3) is expected to degrade. I hope this helps.

    Note that the HMC336 is in LTB period and will be obsolete soon. HMC349AMS8G is the recommended replacement (not pin to pin compatible).
