HMC525 and HMC620 Status

Question

From customer: 
 I was visiting the ADI website and checking up on a couple of key Hittite parts. Saw that the HMC525 and HMC620 have been removed from the websites list of IQ and IRM mixers. After searching their part number specifically, I was able to find their product page and noticed the lifecycle status had changed to: Not recommended for new designs. This is very concerning since these parts are core to several of our products. What information can you give me as to whats happening here? There were some other IRM's similar the the 525 and 620 operating at higher frequency ranges we were considering to use in other products. I don't have their part information and am having trouble finding them on the ADI website. What do you recommend?

Hello Admin, 
 I have similar question as above. Specifically, what is the closest device to replace the HMC525LC4 in the designs? I have radar boards that uses this particular device operating at 5.8 to 7GHz, and planning to make several of these boards in a project to be ready in November.

Hi, 
 The HMC8193 covers 2.5 GHz to 8.5 GHz RF and LO frequency range, and has comparable RF performance specs. It has the same package and pin out as the HMC525LC4.

Thanks . Unfortunately this device is not in stock on most retailer site in Belgium. Could it have been discontinued as well?

The HMC8193 is recommended for new designs so that's not the case here. Only the HMC525 has been obsoleted.
