I would like to power up and power down the ADL5321 quickly in order to save power in my system. I only need the device to be operational for 10-20ns at a time, then powered down for many microseconds. The faster the switching time, the more power I can save in the long run. I plan on using a pFET connected to 3.3V to act as a switch, with the bias capacitors between the pFET and 3.3V.
Is there anything limiting the ADL5321 from achieving this? Are there better ways to go about this?
We have not tested this parameter. But the switching time should be less than 50nS, it may even be around 10nS. So if you want to turn off the device for uSeconds, it is feasible. But you need to turn on before hand.
