Digital attenuator swithing

Question

Hello! 
 Dear colleagues, could You clear, 
 is it possible to switch digital attenuator, like HMC1018LP4E , when in use (signal forwarding), 
 and what switching effect rejection ratio ?

Hi, 
 The digital attenuators can be switched into different states when the RF input signal is present if the RF signal level is kept below a certain value. The maximum input power spec is generally derated by 3 dB (for the HMC1018, the maximum RF input power needs to be derated from 25 dBm to 22 dBm) if the attenuator is switched when RF input signal is applied.

Switching time measurement is done when an input signal is present at RFC port so that output signal at RF throw ports changes between isolation and insertion loss levels. The datasheet specs for switching time are valid when there is small input signal at RFC port. If the RF input signal level increased closer to the power compression value, the part may exhibit longer switching times.
