My customer would design a board using only one of the two paths of HMC1190A.
Is the application possible ?
If possible, How should the customer connect the pins of the unused path ?
Please advice the connection for the all pins below.
(VCSx, IFxP/N, VBIASIFx, VGATEx, RFx, LOBIASx, RSV)

Yes, it is possible to use only one channel of the HMC1190A. Please note that the PLL and the LO sections are common to both channels. So any pins related to those sections must be properly connected. For example only the IF1P/N channel will be used, then you can float the VCS2, IF2P/N, VBIASIF2, VGATE2, RF2 and RSV. Besides, just as a good practice disable the IF2P/N path as well.
My customer is using only IF1P/N.
So VCS2, IF2P/N, VBIASIF2, VGATE2, RF2, LOBIAS2, and RSV are all floated.
However, PLL is not locked.During debugging, when power is applied to VCC2, PLL lock is said to be locked.
On the block diagram, VCO is expressed as one, but the power is divided into VCC1 and VCC2.
Is it correct to supply power for both?
