To extend AD8302 input frequency range

It has been over 10 years since AD8302 was introduced. I don't know why only this single chip exists in "gain and phase" category.

My application demands to compare two signals up to 3GHz. AD8302 is so close to this range. Is there any approach that could extend AD8302 input frequency range while still keeping the original signal power/phase information intact?

    Is there a more generic and explicitly specified solution?

    Would you think adding a prescaler, e.g. HMC361S8G, in front of AD8302 is a good idea?

    If yes, to what degree does the prescaler affect the phase measurement accuracy?
