Hello,
I need to validate some electrical parameters of the HMC442LC3B without soldering it. I found in the datasheet :
RoHS Compliant 3 x 3 mm SMT package
Could you confirm this package is compatible with QFN12 3*3 socket ?
Regards,
Ronan

Hi Ronan,
There are many sockets compatible with 12 lead, 3x3, QFN devices. In fact, there are many different (though similar) packages that could be generically referred to as 12 lead, 3x3, QFN. Those packages could differ in their pad dimensions, package heights, ground paddle dimensions...or even in whether they have a ground paddle at all. Those types of details will affect compatibility with a socket. For that reason we cannot definitely determine whether or not the HMC442LC3B will be compatible with a non-specific QFN12 3*3 socket. If you have not yet selected the socket then I recommend you ask socket vendors which of their sockets are compatible with the Outline Drawing shown on the HMC442LC3B data sheet...

The following "Package" drawing from the product page also contains the relevant package dimension info.

Hi SMcBride,
Thank you for your answer. I will share with socket vendors the attached drawing.
