Hi ADI
Please can you recommend an output pull-up inductor, as per your datasheet figure 66, for maximum output power for the ADF4382 for use over the frequency range 700MHz to 1500MHz?
Thanks
JP

Hi JP,
You are correct that the impedance of the LQW15AN1N4C1ZD is about 6 ohms at 700 MHz and 13 ohms at 1500 MHZ. While the 1.4 nH inductor presents a lower impedance at your frequency range, the ADF4382 will still operate correctly posing only a marginally lower output power.
If maximizing output power in the 700 MHz to 1.5 GHz band is critical for your design, you could evaluate using a larger-value pull-up inductor, upwards of ~30 nH, however, I cannot recommend a specific alternative part number outside of what has been tested and validated by the product engineers.
Best,
Hayden
