Not Switching

Category: Hardware
Product Number: HMC345A

We are using 3 signals connected to 3 different GHz frequencies which are around 6.8GHz. a 3.3 to 5V logic translator drive the CtrlA and ctrlB pins on the board.

When tried to switch there is no output and leaks all three signals around -40dB at the output.

A 1pF coupling capacitors are present at the output and input.

2k resistor and 5pf are present on the Vdd pins and NC, GND pins are grounded.

Everything seems fine on schematics and layout but doesnt switch or pass through the complete signal through from the ports

Parents
    1. Verify the voltages at Pins 7 and 8, the control pins. Do they values change at the pins of the HMC345? It looks like they are stuck in the high position.

    2. Verify the RF signal at the inputs pins 12,9,4,1.

    3. How many boards are you testing? Do some work and some fail? How many work and how many fail?

    4. How were the parts soldered to the board? What solder profile was used? Were they soldered by hand?

    5. Was ESD precautions followed? These parts have a sensitivity to ESD and does not have ESD protection.

    6. Where were the parts purchased?
