There is considerable documentation available for the MAX2605–MAX2609 series—including material from Maxim—yet (MAX2605-MAX2609: 45MHz to 650MHz, Integrated IF VCOs with Differential Output Data Sheet (Rev.0a)/ MAX2605/MAX2606/MAX2608/MAX2609 VCO Phase Noise Measurements/ Trimless IF VCO: Part 1/2:...) none of it clearly specifies the noise floor. I am interested to know whether this has been investigated and documented in any way. I would also like to know where the Leeson frequency for the MAX2605 typically falls within the spectrum when operating under the conditions specified in the datasheet.
