The issue of signal distortion following demodulation by the HMC6301

Category: Hardware
Product Number: HMC6300 , HMC630

I am currently using the HMC6300 and HMC6301 for OOK modulation and demodulation, applying a bias to the transmit signal and using AM demodulation on the receive side. Please refer to the document below for the specific implementation details.

However, compared to the transmitted baseband signal, the demodulated signal exhibits noticeable distortion in certain areas, specifically in the form of fluctuations at the rising and falling edges, resulting in a shorter duration of the high or low levels. Has anyone else encountered a similar issue, and are there any effective solutions?

I have highlighted the specific issues in the image below: the green line shows the transmitted signal, whilst the yellow line shows the demodulated signal. As you can see, there is a slight delay in the yellow signal compared to the green one. The red boxes indicate where the distortion occurs.
