Regarding the RF, LO, IF baluns

Thread Summary

The user is seeking a suitable IF balun for an ADL5801 mixer used in four different RF/LO/IF combinations, where the IF is either 110.7 MHz or 881.5 MHz. The recommended IF balun is the TC4-13X+, which operates from 100 MHz to 1 GHz and has a 1:4 impedance transformation ratio, suitable for the specified IF frequencies.

Hello support team,

I am planning to use ADL5801 mixer (same circuit) for below combinations.

1. RF input : 30-88 MHz , LO : 140.7 to 198.7 MHz, IF : Fixed 110.7 MHz

2. RF input : 225-520 MHz, LO: 114.3 to 409.3 MHz , IF : Fixed 110.7 MHz

3. RF input : 30-88 MHz , LO : 793.5 to 851.5 MHz, IF : Fixed 881.5 MHz

4. RF input : 225-520 MHz, LO:  369.5 to 656.5 MHz , IF : Fixed 881.5 MHz

There will be one SPDT switch at the IF port , which will further route wither 110.7 MHz or 881.5 MHz.

Now, out of these 4 combinations, 3 combinations have IF > RF (1, 3, 4), but one combination has IF< RF(2), so for RF and LO port, I am selecting a wideband balun 10-6000 MHz, but for IF port, none of the suggested balun suffice these combinations. so can you suggest a suitable IF balun for the same. also, kindly review above combinations and share feedback
