Hardware Capabilities for Higher Sweep rate.

Thread Summary

The user is experiencing gain flatness issues across a 2.4 GHz to 2.485 GHz frequency sweep with a 1 μs/1 MHz sweep rate. The final answer suggests using the HMC385 VCO and provides an equation to calculate the modulation bandwidth, which is 14.13 MHz with the given parameters. The user is also considering a faster sweep rate of 0.1 μs/10 MHz, and the engineer recommends checking the modulation bandwidth to ensure gain flatness.

Hi
I am generating a
Frequency sweep (in Ramp Up-Down configuration):
Start: 2.4 GHz
Stop: 2.485 GHz
Sweep time/sweep rate:  1 μs/ 1 MHz

But i am unable to get gain flatness across the sept band as show in Figure below there is  a difference of almost 4.3 dB in swept band give me a better VCO option which can used for this condition

i am also planning to Change Specification to below Configuration
Frequency sweep 1 (in Ramp Up-Down configuration):
Start: 2.4 GHz
Stop: 2.485 GHz
Sweep time/sweep rate:  0.1 μs/ 10 MHz

is it Possible to achieve gain flatness across the sept band with this IC
if not Please provide me the Vco detail with which i will able to achieve this rate
also what are parameters which i should look into to see whether Vco is capabale
