Modeling the turning on process of the switch

Thread Summary

The user inquired about the turning-on characteristic of the HMC190B switch, specifically requesting a large-signal file. The support engineer confirmed that only s-parameters for steady-state 'on' operation are available, and provided the rise/fall time (5ns) and on/off time (10ns) for the switch.

Dear,

For the mentioned HMC190B switch, I would like to know the turning-on characteristic of the switch from switch off to switch on.

I only noticed that the design material contains the S-parameter file. Is it possible to also have a large-signal file describing the turning-on characteristic of the switch when varying the control voltage?

Thank you!

  • The s-parameter dataset represents the steady state “on” linear operation of the switch. We don't have a model for the turn on/off. The only information we can provide is the rise/fall time which is 5ns and the on/off time which is 10ns (this is the time from 50% of the control voltage to the output reaching 90% of its final value).
