Dear all,
I use the ADPA9002 in a 4 ways TR module. For one way, the supply current is only about 328 mA instead of 385 mA indicated in the datasheet. In small signal, the ADPA has a gain of 12.7 dB (including a 1,2 dB lossy filter and 1,3 dB lossy bias tee, MBT-283+, Minicircuit). The input losses are OK.
The OIP1 measured is only about 25 dBm with IDD = 361 mA.
Is it normal to have such low consumption ? (VGG1 = GND and VDD = 11.36 V)
thanks a lot !
Laurence
Heylaurence29,
Is there any reason why the drain voltage is set to 11.36 V instead of the nominal 12 V? Also, have you checked the effect on drain current when increasing VDD to 12 V? I would expect change in current with that adjustment.
Regards,
Dorant
hello Dorant
thanks for your feedback.
the reason is that the voltage regulator sets VDD to 11.3 V. I just have to change at the Vout to increase VDD . I'll do it and let you know the result.
regards
Laurence
