Saturation power (OP1dB) for MAX2681

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: MAX2681

The datasheet for the MAX2681 does not provide any information on input (IP1dB) or output (OP1dB) saturation points. Also curious about saturation for MAX2680 & MAX2682, and the expected change in OP1dB vs VCC, as I can provide either 3.3V or 5V. Typical RF amplifier datasheets will provide this information as a graph.

  • The only non-linearity spec of the MAX2680/1/2 family of down-conversion mixers provided in the datasheet is the IIP3.  One can use a rule of thumb that IP1 is typically about 10 dB below the IIP3 point.  Add the conversion gain to refer to the output.  The IIP3 for all three devices is given in the same datasheet.  The lowest linearity is provided by the MAX2680 and the highest by the MAX2682.  The increased linearity is achieved at a cost of higher supply current.  All IIP3 specs are defined with VCC = 3V.  There is no data on what they would be at different supply voltages.
