adrf5026

Category: Hardware
Product Number: ADRF5026

Hello

I have some ADRF5620 switches dying at system startup. When they are dead they show a low resistance (5~10 Ohm) on Vss pin, so they short the -3.3V. The circuit is below:

At the startup Vdd is first and Vss is slower to raise. Vcontrol is OV.

Any suggestion?

  • Your schematic doesn't seem to have an evident problem. You mentioned you're executing power up sequencing (I assume you don't apply RF when the ADRF5026 is powered off).
I suspect supply rails might ring and overshoot beyond 3.6V (AMR value) at the startup. Can you probe the VDD, VSS and CTRL and EN pins at the startup with an oscilloscope?

  • Hello Yus

in order to fix the voltage sequence issue we replaced it with ADRF5020, pin to pin compatible that can be operate with Vdd only. Slight performance worsening shouldn't be an issue.

    Tahnks
