ADIsimPLL

Question

I want to build a frequency synthesizer and simulate the circuit in ADIsimPLL. I want to use an external VCO instead of the integrated one, but unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be an option in ADIsimPLL to do this, so I can't create the full schematic. I can create the PLL with the loop filter, but not with an external VCO. How can I achieve this?

Hi RinaG , Unfortunately, Synthesizer models that have integrated VCO, don't have an option for external VCO simulation. Regards, Burhan)

Hi Rina, Because this chip does not have a VCO input pin ( internally connected), it cannot be used with an external VCO. By the way, you can use its own VCO with an external PLL. Regards, Burhan

Hi RinaG , There are on-board reference oscillators on the EVAL for the REF ınput, maybe this isn't very clear. Regards, Burhan
