Low Frequency RFoutput Power of ADF4356

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: ADF4356

Hello.

I use ADF4356 at 100MHz to 300MHz.

The ADF4356 datasheet (Figure 10) shows the variation of RF output with temperature.

Therefore, if you have measurement data showing the relationship between temperature and output power in the range of 100MHz to 300MHz as shown in Figure 10, could you please provide it?

We would be happy if the test conditions were also below.

"For lower frequencies below 2 GHz, it is recommended to use a 100 nH inductor on the RFOUTA+/RFOUTA− pins and a 100 pF ac coupling capacitor."

Best Regards.

  • Hi  ,

For the  100nH-10pF configuration, we only have a +25C temperature measurement, Figure 12. According to Figure 10, it is expected to get a 2 dB increase and decrease for -40C and +85C. Higher inductors may have larger voltage drops, but with a good match power levels can remain high. Temperature behavior of the chip is similar for these frequencies, if the capacitor is C0G and the inductor has good Q, we would expect +/- 2dB due to temperature.
